SCREENING METHOD USING PLEXIN A2 AS NEW SUBSTRATE OF γ-SECRETASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening a compound exerting influence on processing of Plexin A2 by γ-secretase.

SOLUTION: The method for screening the compound exerting influence on processing of Plexin A2 by γ-secretase includes the following steps: (i) to bring a first biological composition containing γ-secretase or its biologically active fragment into contact with a Plexin second biological composition containing Plexin A2 in the presence and absence of a candidate compound; (ii) to measure cleavage of the Plexin A2 in the presence and absence of the candidate compound, (iii) to select the compound exerting influence on the cleavage of the Plexin A2 by γ-secretase and (iv) to identify the candidate compound obtained by the step (iii) as the compound exerting influence on processing of Plexin A2 by γ-secretase.
