The gearbox has a drive shaft (1), an output shaft (2) and four planetary gear sets (P1-P4) arranged in a housing (G). A bar of one of the planetary gear sets is connected with a shaft (6), which is connected with ring gears of another planetary gear set. The ring gears of the former planetary gear set are connected with another shaft, which is coupled to the housing of the gearbox via a brake (4). Another bar of the latter planetary gear set is connected with the drive shaft. The drive shaft is connected with a third bar of a third planetary gear set.
