<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller which is excellent in interlayer adhesion between a silicone resin layer and a surface layer when storing under high temperature and high humidity for a long time and is capable of suppressing an image stripe caused by long term contact with a developing blade and toner adhesion when an image is output repeatedly under low temperature and low humidity. <P>SOLUTION: A developing roller includes a surface layer on the outer periphery of a resin layer, the resin layer of a silicone resin, the surface layer containing a cured polyurethane resin having a Martens hardness MH ranging from 3.0 to 4.5 under measurement conditions of a temperature of -10°C, a load of 0.050 mN/10s, a loading time of 5.0 s and an indentation depth of t/4 when the film thickness is defined as t (4 μm≤t≤20 μm) and satisfies the following expression when the position at the depth 7t/8 from the surface is defined as Y: 2.0≤UrcY (atoms of the nitrogen element derived from the urethane group in Y measured by ESCA, %)≤4.0(%) ...Expression (1) <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
