PURPOSE:To reduce noise due to the displacement of a current phase angle occurred when switching an induction motor from a high speed to a low speed by providing a switch for switching the speed between an auxiliary winding and a starting capacitor. CONSTITUTION:In a single phase induction motor having a main winding 1, an auxiliary winding 2 and a starting capacitor 3, a high speed terminal H is provided at the position where the number of turns of the winding 2 is most, a low speed terminal L is provided in the course of the winding 2 to switch the speeds via a speed changeover switch 4. In this case, even if the switch 4 is switched to a high speed terminal H or a low speed terminal L, the phases of the currents flowed to the main and auxiliary windings 1, 2 do not alter. |
