<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting pipes of a refrigerant on-off valve of an air conditioner capable of intending to reduce cost and to enhance the reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The method is provided for connecting the pipes of the refrigerant on-off valve 1 of the air conditioner. The on-off valve includes: a body 2, which has a valve rod receiving port 3, a first refrigerant port 4 arranged coaxially with the valve rod receiving port 3 while being in communication with the same, a valve seat 7 arranged in one end of the first refrigerant port 4 while enlarging the diameter, and a second refrigerant port 5 branched from between the valve rod receiving port 3 and the first refrigerant port 4, and which forms a refrigerant flowing channel 11 between the first refrigerant port 4 and the second refrigerant port 5; and a valve rod 20 the distal end of which is threadedly inserted into the valve rod receiving port 3 comes into contact with and leaves from the valve seat 7 to thereby open and close the refrigerant flowing channel 11. The abutment surfaces of the distal end of the valve rod 20 and the valve seat 7 themselves are formed by the slopes 20c, 7a, the distal end of the refrigerant pipe 25 inserted into the first refrigerant port 4 is held by the distal end of the valve rod 20 and the valve seat 7 and machined into a flare shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
