<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an environment in a peripheral area of ventilation equipment by lighting the area where the ventilation equipment of a building is installed. <P>SOLUTION: The ventilation equipment 24 includes a ventilation passage 31, a ventilation fan device 32 and an outdoor hood 33, and ventilates indoor air to the outside of the building through the ventilation passage 31 and the outdoor hood 33 by driving a ventilation fan 43 of the ventilation fan device 32. An exhaust port 55 of the outdoor hood 33 is provided with a light-emitting unit 63 having a light-emitting diode (LED) 62 as a light-emitting unit. The light-emitting unit 63 has LEDs 62 in a plurality of colors including blue, and are arranged so as to include an area below the outdoor hood 33 and the exhaust port 55 within a lighting range.
