<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the device and method for loading an explosive, capable of preventing leaked current or inductive current generated in a work vehicle or a work cage from flowing into a loading machine. <P>SOLUTION: An explosive charge hole 14 is made, and the work cage 19 is supported by a boom 17 extending from the body 16 of a drill jumbo 15 used for loading explosives into the explosive charge hole 14. The loading machine 20 for loading the explosives into the explosive charge hole 14 is disposed in the body 16 or the work cage 19. The loading machine 20 and the body 16 of the drill jumbo 15 or the work cage 19 are electrically insulated from each other.
