PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Bi inoculant capable of stably improving yield of Bi, increasing the number of graphite particles and sufficiently exerting the effect of Bi inoculation even in a thick-walled casting.

SOLUTION: The Bi inoculant for spheroidal graphite cast iron is intended for use at inoculation of cast iron molten metal for spheroidal graphite cast iron. The Bi inoculant is a mixture or an alloy comprising Bi and at least one or two chosen from Ni and Cu.
