<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head protective airbag device which can restrain an occupant toward vehicle inside by restraining a volume increase as well as movement of the occupant to vehicle outside even during rollover after side collision. <P>SOLUTION: The head protective airbag device includes an airbag 20 that is structured so to be folded toward the upper edge side of a window W1 to be stored and keep the upper edge side anchored on a body-side member 2 of a vehicle. The airbag 20 includes a shielding body part 21 that shields the vehicle inside of a window W1 upon completion of expansion, and a support expansion part 23 that communicates with the shielding body part 21 and that is disposed on the vehicle outside O near an upper end 21a of the shielding body part 21 in an area above the window W1 upon completion of expansion. The support expansion part 23 has expansion delay means that delays expansion more than the shielding body part 21 and is structured to expand to be interposed between the shielding body part 21 and the body-side member 2 upon completion of expansion and to support the vehicle outside O near the upper end 21a of the shielding body part 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
