<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus with a camera, with which a photographer can perform a shutter operation at desired timing which the photographer intends without using a remote controller and which is superior in operability. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone set includes: a camera module 13 outputting an imaging picture as picture information; a memory 105 storing picture information; a face registration portion 504 holding information on a face picture; a face extracting portion 501 as a component for detecting the face picture held in the face registering portion 504 from the imaging picture; a face parameter extracting portion 502; a matching determining portion 505; and a photographing control portion 506 performing control processing for photographing.
