<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption while securing conveyance stability of recording material over a long term. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a driving device 6 which has a motor for supply M1 driving supply conveying members 3a of a recording material supply part 3, a motor for return M2 driving return conveying members 4a of a recording material return conveyance part 4, and a motor for conveyance M3 driving conveying members 5a of a recording material conveyance part 5, and which includes a variable torque motor as the motor for conveyance M3 driving the conveying members 5a determined in advance; a discrimination means 7 which discriminates conveyance load information of recording material 1 interposed by the conveying members 5a; a variable control means 8 which controls energizing current to the variable torque motor based on the discriminated result by the discrimination means 7 when driving the motor for conveyance M3; and a fixed control means 9 which sets fixed energizing current determined in advance according to maximum load as the energizing current when driving the motor for supply M1 or the motor for return M2, and inhibits drive of either of them when moving the other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
