<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network multifunction machine which can shift from a low power consumption state to an operating state more quickly and further reduce power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A network multifunction machine 1 comprises an NIC 10 including a first NIC 100 connected to a LAN 51 and a second NIC 120 which is communicably connected to the first NIC 100 and can take a low power consumption state. The first NIC 100 outputs a start signal for starting power supply to such as the second NIC 120; when it is determined that received data are PC print data or PC-FAX data, and the second NIC 120, a recording part 12, a modem 18, and an NCU 19 are in a low power consumption state. After being started; the second NIC 120 stops power supply to the modem 18 and the NCU 19 when it is determined that the received data are the PC print data, and outputs a stop signal for stopping power supply to the recording part 12 when it is determined that the received data are the PC-FAX data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
