<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: a wiping performance is degraded due to the deposition of a liquid adhering to a wiper member. <P>SOLUTION: A wiper scraper 85 is provided on a side of the wiper member 83 in an idle ejection receiving device 84, wherein the wiper scraper removes an ink adhering to the wiper member 83 by scraping the ink. The wiper scraper 85 is a hollow member and has an opening 85b, wherein a scraping portion 85a for scraping the ink adhering to the wiper member 83 by pushing the wiper member 83 is provided on the opening. An outlet 85c is provided on a side of the wiper scraper 85 opposite to the opening 85b.
