<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve satisfactory sealing properties between combustion chamber holes by concentrating a load between the combustion chamber holes and concentrating also a load in openings of both combustion chamber holes. <P>SOLUTION: A cylinder head gasket 1 is provided with first and second base plates 3, 5 and an intermediate base plate 6, and a plurality of combustion chamber holes are formed in the base plates so as to correspond to the positions of cylinder bores. Pressure increasing members 12 are provided between the adjacent combustion chamber holes. In the direction in which the combustion chamber holes are arranged, the pressure increasing member is exposed to the openings of both combustion chamber holes and is configured in such a manner that the thickness of the pressure increasing member is uniform from one combustion chamber hole to the other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
