<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that sealability declines upon occurrence of over pressurization of liquid supplied to a head tank. <P>SOLUTION: A head tank 30 which stores ink supplied from an ink cartridge 76 via a pressure control unit 81 and supplies the same to a recording head 10 has: a valve member 240 which opens and closes a fluid intake port 202 to the head tank 30; a lock lever 220 which moves according to the displacement of a flexible film 202 forming one surface of the head tank 30; and a valve holder 245 arranged movably while holding the valve member 240. When the engaging part 220a of the lock lever 220 is fitted in a hole 230 of the valve holder 245, the valve member 240 is brought into locked state and cannot be opened or closed.
