<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor power unit which can maintain good drive feelings upon very low speed traveling even without complex control and can provide the power generated by the rotation of a rotor as a power takeoff. <P>SOLUTION: A power unit 10A includes a stator 12A, the rotor 14A, a clutch outer 15, a mating plate 16, a friction plate 18, a piston, a return spring, a clutch inner hub 22, and an output shaft. The power applied to the piston is adjusted to adjust the engaging force of a friction clutch so that the mating plate 16 and the friction plate 18 may be slipped until the rotation number of the rotor 14A reaches a constant number. As a result, the drive feelings upon low-speed drive can be improved. When the rotor 14A rotates, power is output from the clutch outer 15 to an output shaft by utilizing a gear so that the power can function as the power takeoff. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
