Provided is a tire processing method which facilitates effective separation between a thermoplastic material and a non-thermoplastic material of a tire, the tire being formed of the thermoplastic material including the non-thermoplastic material. In the method, while the tire (10) of the thermoplastic material is being rotated, hot air is blown thereon through a nozzle (46) of a heater (44) to melt the surface of a crown portion (16), and the end portion of a cord (26) is taken out of the melted portion to be sequentially wound around a reel (58), the cord being embedded in a spiral fashion and formed of the non-thermoplastic material.
