<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device and a manufacturing method of the same having high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The optical device comprises a career including a first region having a first thickness and serving as a component mounting region and a second region having a second thickness greater than the first thickness extending from the outside of the first region to an edge portion of the career and serving as a component non-mounting region where no component is mounted, optical components mounted on the first region of the career, and a temperature control device on which the career is mounted. The optical device manufacturing method comprises a fist step of preparing the career including the first region having the first thickness and serving as the component mounting region and the second region having the second thickness greater than the first thickness extending from the outside of the first region to the edge portion of the career and serving as the component non-mounting region where no component is mounted, a second step of mounting the career on the temperature control device after performing the first step, and a third step of mounting a first optical component on the first region of the career after performing the second step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
