<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of an instrument device which displays a measured value with a length of a bar while enabling number indexes to emit light. <P>SOLUTION: An engine speed meter 1 as the instrument device has a plurality of windows 21, indicating scale indexes, and a plurality of numbers 22, indicating number indexes of an engine speed, formed in a row on a dial 10, the numbers being incidental to the windows 21. A circuit board 50 on the reverse side of the dial 10 is provided with a plurality of LEDs 30 irradiating the respective windows 21 with light. A case 40 formed of a light shielding plate 45 is formed between the dial 10 and circuit board 50. The case 40 has a plurality of cylindrical parts 41, having circumferences surrounded with the light shielding plate 45, as many as the LEDs 30. The respective LEDs 30 and the windows 21 corresponding thereto are included in areas 42 inside the respective cylindrical parts 41. Further, the respective cylindrical parts 41 include numbers 22 incidental to the respective windows 21.
