Disclosed is a method for establishing a session, comprising: a first policy server sending a request message to a second policy server when the first policy server needs to establish a session with the second policy server, and requesting the second the policy server to initiate and establish the session with the first policy server; the second policy server initiating and establishing the session with the first policy server according to the request message. Also disclosed is a system for establishing a session. According to the present invention, even if the first policy server cannot establish the session with the second policy server, the first policy server may request the second policy server to establish the session by sending a request to the second policy server. Therefore, the session is established more flexibly. In addition, in the case that the session established by the second policy server is applicable to policy control, the present invention improves the effectiveness of session establishment. |
