<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength thin steel sheet excellent in uniform coating-baking hardenability in a retained austenite steel, and a method for producing the high-strength thin steel sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A high-strength thin steel sheet excellent in elongation and uniform coating-baking hardenability has a specific steel composition, contains one or more of ferrite, bainite and tempered martensite, and contains 3% or more of retained austenite, wherein an average particle diameter of the austenite is 1 μm or more and 8 μm or less, and an austenite particle whose central concentration Cgc and grain boundary Cgb satisfy formula (1) accounts for 50% or more.
