<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device including a position detector that can detect a position with high accuracy, is excellent in assembling, low in expense and simple in constitution, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet end position detecting part 1 that detects a sheet end position in a width direction Y perpendicular to a feeding direction of the sheet S.
