PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil ring type sliding bearing capable of preventing contact with the side face of an oil ring and the side face of an oil ring guide groove in a simple structure and facilitating maintenance. SOLUTION: A guide bar installing hole 21 is formed in the side face 15a of the oil ring guide groove 15. A part of the outer peripheral surface 20a of a guide bar 20 is projected toward an oil ring side rather than the side face 15a of the oil ring guide groove 15 by inserting and fixing the cylinder-shaped guide bar 20 made of a material with small friction resistance in the guide for installing hole 21. Further, an edge portion of a metal washer 23 pushes the outer peripheral surface 20b of the guide bar 20. A rebounding amount when the oil ring 14 is struck with the guide bar 20 is controlled by selecting a Teflon bar (registered trade mark), a Teflon hollow bar, or a Teflon hollow bar with a core metal as the guide bar 20.
