The device (10) has a tool (20) comprising a counterpart (22) sectionally forming a cavity (22a) for a decoration part as a shaping contour surface (23). A stenter device (60) is provided for stretching a decorative film (110) over the counterpart, and has blank holder devices (70) comprising an upper blank holder part (74) movable relative to a lower blank holder part (72) such that a portion of the film is clamped between the lower and upper parts. The lower part has a vertical adjustor for vertical displacement of the lower blank holder part relative to the stenter plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for optimization of manufacturing of backfilled decoration parts.
