<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a header die (17) moving axially against a workpiece from a rest position. Clamping jaws (32, 33) are pressed radially against the workpiece by a clamping segment (28). The die carries a forming tool (24) for compressing the workpiece. The die is axially pressed against a head, which is projected from the clamping jaws, of the workpiece by an opening provided in a locking plate (18) during extension of the die.
