PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which suppresses a loss of a storage medium, detects that the storage medium is replaced without separately providing a sensor for abnormality detection in order to detect that the storage medium is removed by being interlocked with an ejection button of the storage medium and checks in what kind of a state the storage medium is replaced in order to remain video images before and after replacement. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus has a memory, a communication means for transmitting image data stored in the memory to the other information processor by cable or radio and a control means for writing the image data in the memory and controlling the communication means, wherein an attachment/detachment means is an ejection switch having contacts electrically connected in parallel with the control means and the contacts of the ejection switch are turned on by being interlocked with operations for attaching and detaching the storage medium to the imaging apparatus.
