INK JET RECORDING METHOD AND INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording method and an ink jet recording apparatus which can form an image that suppresses the occurrence of feathering even if a gap between a recording head and a recording medium is humidified to improve the ejection stability of ink.

SOLUTION: An ink jet recording method includes an image formation step of forming an image on a recording medium having an ink-receiving layer by ejecting an ink from an ink jet recording head and a humidification step of humidifying a gap between the recording head and the recording medium in which in the image formation step, an ink containing a specified dye and a water-soluble organic compound having an inorganic-organic balance value of 1.4 or larger to 2.7 or smaller is used.
