<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of forming a toner image of high image quality by suppressing an image density difference sufficiently and an image forming device equipped therewith. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device 122 comprises conveyance members 45 and 46 which are arranged in a storage part 41 and convey a developer in a predetermined conveyance direction, a toner carrier 43 which has a carrier surface 55 extending along the conveyance direction, receives toner from the storage part 41 to carry it on the carrier surface 55 and supplies the toner to an image carrier 121 to develop a toner image on the image carrier 121, a driving source M for driving the conveyance members 45 and 46, a toner density sensor S for detecting the density of the toner in the developer and a control part U which controls the driving source M to change the conveyance speed of the developer by the conveyance members 45 and 46 depending on the toner density.
