COLOR FILTER, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE COLOR FILTER, COLOR FILTER MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND PHOTOMASK SET USED IN THE MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter manufacturing method of forming two kinds of color filters different in size on a same substrate by composite mold that uses a common photomask for forming color layers of two colors and can form color filters by adjusting difference in heights of a PS and a sub PS.

SOLUTION: A color filter includes a substrate 10, a red colored layer, a green colored layer 41G and a blue colored layer provided on the substrate 10, a PS61 formed on the red colored layer and the green colored layer 41G, and a sub PS71 formed on the red colored layer and the green colored layer 41G. The PS61 is composed of a layer 81 made from the same material as the blue colored layer and a resin layer 83 covering the layer 81. The sub PS71 is made from the same material as the blue colored layer and is composed of a layer 82 smaller in surface area than the layer 81 and a resin layer 84 covering the layer 82. A thickness d2 of the resin layer 84 is smaller than a thickness d1 of the resin layer 83.
