<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image providing a highly realistic feeling. <P>SOLUTION: A display system includes a display panel for displaying an image, and a virtual image generation device which is arranged between a visual point and the display panel at a position closer to the visual point and generates, at a position more distant than the display panel from the visual point, a virtual image which is an enlarged image of the display panel.
