<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which is hard to generate erroneous detection even in a structure using an optical sensor 33, as means for detecting a developer in a developer storage portion 31. <P>SOLUTION: Cover members 36a, 36b are rotatably provided so as to cover light guides 34a, 35c constituting a sensor 33. The cover members 36a, 36b are respectively provided with projecting engaging portions 37a, 37b, and the projecting engaging portions 37a, 37b are engaged with a blade 32b of a screw 32. When the screw 32 rotates, the cover members 36a, 36b rotate on the basis of the engagement between the blade 32b and the projecting engaging portions 37a, 37b, and toner depositing on the cover members 36a, 36b drops. Therefore, the erroneous detection of the sensor 33 due to the deposition of the toner on the light guides 34c, 35c can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
