摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of an arithmetic operation attempted on the basis of information when a large number of vehicles exchanging the information through communications exist nearby a subject vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle control system includes a communication device 20 that receives information of a plurality of vehicles nearby from outside a subject vehicle; and a control device 10 that performs arithmetic operation related to control with respect to the vehicles on the basis of information of the vehicles received by the communication device 20. The control device 20 changes the computational complexity between one and the other surrounding vehicles. The control device changes a processing amount of arithmetic operation at one vehicle of the plurality of vehicles and another vehicle, other than the subject vehicle, for example, the processing amount of the arithmetic operation according to a monitoring importance of the vehicles, other than the subject vehicle, by elongating an operation cycle of the arithmetic operation for the vehicles of low monitoring importance than that for the vehicles of high monitoring importance and/or reducing operation items of the arithmetic operation compared with the vehicles of high monitoring importance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
