FIELD: physics, measurement. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the field of investigating properties of easily deformed materials. The device contains a sample clamping system, a longitudinal deformation setting mechanism, a measurement sensor and a recording unit, loading and longitudinal deformation scales, made as digitalised optoelectronic ruler. The measurement sensor is made in the shape of computer mouse, rigidly fixed to expander arrow of spiral edge. The sensor provides for movement of deformed expander between axial line and sample edge, being in constant contact with sample surface. Recording unit is a personal computer with interface block. The unit is capable of recording loading and longitudinal deformation scale data via interface block to computer hard drive, converting expander movement value to transverse deformation values, contraction coefficient and Poincon conventional coefficient using special software and algorithms, as well as visualising expander movement and conversion results on display. ^ EFFECT: increase of transverse deformation measurement accuracy, simplification of device construction and expansion of its technological features. ^ 1 dwg |
