According to the invention, side walls (15) are fastened to the lateral wall sections (10, 20) of at least the two heat exchangers (3, 4) lying on the outside, which side walls absorb the clamping forces for an even, permanent compression of the individual elements (2, 3, 4) of the thermoelectric generator unit (1).
