PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for control of the intensity of a reflection component regardless of the polarization state of the reflection component in an optical member, when acquiring the image of a subject through the optical member having optical transparency and light reflectivity.SOLUTION: The mixed light of the light from the inside of a vehicle transmitted through a front glass and the light reflected on the front glass enters an imaging unit 101. A polarization image generation unit 103 and a luminance image generation unit 102 generate a polarization image and a luminance image, respectively. A reflection component estimation unit 104 estimates the reflection light component in the front glass, from the output of the luminance image generation unit 102 and the output of the polarization image generation unit 103. The detail of the reflection component estimation unit 104 is described below. A reflection component removal unit 105 generates the visible image of the inside of a vehicle, by removing the estimate value of reflection light component from the luminance image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
