Said method in the technical solutions includes: obtaining state information of each node equipment in the short message center cluster; adjusting the number of node equipments in working state in said short message center cluster according to said state information. The embodiment of the present invention also discloses a control equipment including an obtaining module and a control module. The present invention also provides a short message center cluster system and a short message center cluster control system. By adopting the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention, energy conserving of the present short message center system is realized.
