摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linkage mechanism using a gel actuator which can be miniaturized to be assembled into a device easily and can be used as a brake mechanism or a clutch mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A linkage mechanism using a gel actuator comprises: a gel actuator 20 which pushes a first member 42 and a second member 48 in opposite directions; a power source for driving the gel actuator 20. The gel actuator 20 comprises: a mesh body; a first gel and a second gel made of dielectric high polymer material which are counter-positioned with the mesh body between them; and an electrode provided on each outer surface of the first gel and the second gel. When voltage is applied between the mesh body and the electrode, part of the first gel and the second gel gets into a mesh hole of the mesh body to shrink in the thickness direction, and when the application of the voltage is released, the first gel and the second gel are restored to the original thickness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
