<p>PURPOSE: A protection mode executing method of a mobile terminal is provided to simply hide a display screen of a mobile terminal by reducing the brightness of a screen or turning off a display unit according to a multi touch input. CONSTITUTION: A control unit senses a predetermined multi touch on a display unit(S21). The control unit determines whether the inputted multi touch matches a predetermined touch code for a protection mode of a storage unit(S23). The control unit controls the brightness of the display unit in case the multi touch matches with the touch code(S25).</p>
