<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device capable of getting better performance by solving a synchronization problem of sampling timing and exciting cycle. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring microcomputer that is provided independently of a control microcomputer outputting an excitation signal S_e uniquely samples sensor signals Sa, Sb and Sc of each phase outputting a resolver, and calculates three rotation angle detection values (θ1, θ2 and θ3) corresponding to the number of combinations of two signals among the sensor signals Sa, Sb and Sc, based on each of the sampling values a, b and c. And, the monitoring microcomputer determines abnormality in a process of rotation angle detection by monitoring a difference among the rotation angle detection values and a sum thereof, and samples the excitation signal S_e with the same timing as each of the sensor signals Sa, Sb and Sc. Then, when the sampling value R is negative, the monitoring microcomputer reverses each code of the sampling values a, b and c and calculates the rotation angle detection value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
