PURPOSE: L-carnitine 1,5-naphthalenedisulfonate is provided to have stability against heat and moisture, and excellent solubility to water, and to improve deliquescence. CONSTITUTION: L-carnitine 1,5-naphthalenedisulfonate is in chemical formula 1. The L-carnitine 1,5-naphthalenedisulfonate is crystalline. In the X-ray diffraction analysis, the value of diffraction angle(2&thgr;), of which I/I0 is over than 10%, is 11.6±0.2, 12.5±0.2, 13.0±0.2, 15.0±0.2, 15.7±0.2, 16.8±0.2, 17.1±0.2, 18.3±0.2, 19.1±0.2, 20.1±0.2, 21.0±0.2, 21.2±0.2, 22.3±0.2, 22.8±0.2, 23.2±0.2, 23.7±0.2, 24.3±0.2, 25.2±0.2, 25.7±0.2, 26.0±0.2, 28.2±0.2, 28.9±0.2, 30.1±0.2, 30.4±0.2, 38.6±0.2.
