TELEVISION RECEIVER AND TELEVISION BROADCAST RECEPTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver and a television broadcast reception system that can display moving image thumbnails of a plurality of broadcast programs on a single screen in accordance with a user's preference.

SOLUTION: A television receiver 1 includes: reception means for receiving a broadcast signal of television broadcasting; selection means for selecting a channel of the broadcast signal received by the reception means; a display unit 24 for displaying a video of the channel selected by the selection means; acquisition means for acquiring an electronic program guide containing program information showing program genres and channels of broadcast programs; and reception means for receiving preference degrees respectively set for the program genres, videos of a plurality of channels sequentially selected by the selection means being list-displayed on the display unit 24. The selection means selects the channels based on the electronic program guide acquired by the acquisition means and the preference degrees respectively set for the program genres and received by the reception means.
