<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of a shake correcting function even after finishing an operation of changing a posture of an optical apparatus having the shake correcting function. <P>SOLUTION: An angular velocity sensor 101 detects a shake applied to an image pickup apparatus 100 and outputs a detection signal to a DC cut filter 102. A control unit 200 calculates an amount of shake correction based on a signal from the DC cut filter 102. An HPF (High-Pass Filter) 106 removes low frequency components from an output signal of the DC cut filter 102. The control unit 200 controls a correction optical system 116 to correct the shake of an image based on the amount of the shake correction. When a pan/tilt determination unit 109 determines that a panning movement or a tilting movement is finished, an offset operation unit 108 calculates an offset amount as a difference between an input value and an output value of the HPF 106, and an offset removal unit 105 removes the offset amount from the output signal of the DC cut filter 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
