<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic wave device capable of suppressing deterioration of frequency characteristics caused by bulk waves and capable of readily being downsized. <P>SOLUTION: An elastic wave device 10 comprises: (a) a piezoelectric substrate 12 on whose one main surface 12a IDTs 14 and 16 for signals for inputting and outputting signals are formed, and through which an elastic wave excited by the IDT 14 for signals propagates; and (b) an IDT 20 for attenuation formed on the other main surface 12b of the piezoelectric substrate 12. The IDT 20 for attenuation is configured so as to generate a potential difference between electrodes 20s and 20t of the IDT 20 for attenuation by means of a bulk wave which is excited by the IDT 14 for signals, propagates in the piezoelectric substrate 12, and reaches the other main surface 12b of the piezoelectric substrate 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
