<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of forming a high-quality image without being affected by change in environment or a film thickness of a drum. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises a photosensitive drum 201, a charge bias application circuit 206 for applying a DC voltage to a charge roller 202 for charging the photosensitive drum 201, and an engine control part 502 which determines each of the positive and negative discharge initiation voltages of the photosensitive drum 201 by applying positive and negative DC voltage to the charge roller 202 by the charge bias application circuit 206, and calculates a surface potential of the photosensitive drum 201 based on each of the determined discharge initiation voltages. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
