<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rice cooker surely cooking rice while maintaining the pressure within a pot at an atmospheric pressure or higher which controls steam flow emitted during rice cooking and thereby cooks satisfactory rice. <P>SOLUTION: The electric rice cooker includes: a pot; pot heating means; means for detecting a temperature within the pot; a pressure valve for controlling a pressure within the pot; and heating control means, wherein the pressure valve is always blocked during a start-up heating step II and a boiling maintaining step III, a temperature during the boiling maintaining step III is controlled by the heating control means to maintain a boiling state in a range between θ<SB POS="POST">U1</SB>, which is equal to or lower than a boiling temperature corresponding to a given pressure value and a temperature higher than 100°C at which heating is suspended, and θ<SB POS="POST">L1</SB>, which is a temperature at which heating is resumed, and a time period for the boiling maintaining step III is changed according to the amount of rice to be cooked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
