<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stacking performance of a paper ejection tray for the recording sheets by suppressing curl of a recording sheet passing in a fixing nip. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet-stack height detection mechanism 50 detects a stacking height of the recording sheets S stacked on a paper ejection tray 43 at three positions along the ejection direction and determines a curl state of the recording sheets S based on the detection results at each position. If the recording sheet S has a back curl, the conveyance speed of the recording sheet by fixing ejection rollers 39a and 39b is set faster than the conveyance speed of the recording sheet during passage in a fixing nip N. If the recording sheet S has a face curl, the conveyance speed of the recording sheet by fixing ejection rollers 39a and 39b is set slower than the conveyance speed of the recording sheet during passage in the fixing nip N. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
