METHOD FOR DECODING MULTIVIEW VIDEO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accessing a multiview video at random.

SOLUTION: The decoding method of the multiview video including a sequential frame includes: a step for receiving a prediction dependent message which is related to a present frame of the multiview video, and shows the number of views used as reference on a specified view and a set of view indexes showing which view is used as reference on the specified view; a step for holding a reference picture list indexing a time reference picture referred to at time different from specified time and a space reference picture referred to from the different view at same time; and a step for predicting a present picture in the specified view of the multiview video based on the held reference picture list and prediction dependent message. The predicting step is selected from time prediction using the time reference picture and space prediction using the space reference picture.
