<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving temperature distribution in a power generation region of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell comprises a membrane electrode assembly 60, and separators sandwiching the membrane electrode assembly 60. The membrane electrode assembly 60 includes: an electrolyte film 61; and electrodes 62 and 63 arranged on both sides of the electrolyte film 61. The electrodes 62 and 63 respectively have: a catalyst layer 70; a gas diffusion layer 72; and a bonding layer 75 bonding the aforementioned two layers. The separator is provided with a coolant channel for flowing coolant along an electrode surface of the membrane electrode assembly 60. In the bonding layer 75, a heat transfer suppressed region is arranged on the upstream of the coolant where heat transfer between the catalyst layer 70 and gas diffusion layer 72 is more suppressed compared with that in a region downstream the coolant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
