<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform machining with high accuracy even when using various kinds of turning tools. <P>SOLUTION: Reference data for making true circle vibrations generate on a cutting edge 332 arranged on a turning tool body 331 of the turning tool 33 is recorded in a recording means 9 for every turning tool 33. A control means 8 controls an AC power supply means 7 for applying AC power in order to make a plurality of ultrasonic vibrators 6a-6d mounted on the turning tool body 331 generate ultrasonic vibrations on the basis of the reference data recorded in the recording means 9, and machines a workpiece while generating designated elliptic vibrations to the cutting edge 332 by expanding and contracting the turning tool body 331 with the ultrasonic vibrations generated on the ultrasonic vibrators 6a-6d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
