<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device and a handoff method for reducing occurrence of instantaneous interruption. <P>SOLUTION: In a currently used frequency, a mobile terminal device 1 measures signal strength of a pilot signal of a base station from a list, N-List, of neighboring base stations to be used at the time of soft handoff that a currently communicating base station is sending, generates an E-List, then measures the signal strength by switching a frequency band, and decides the base station to be handed off by extracting the base station with strong signal strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
